Description

Sourcery, a hilarious mix of magic, mayhem, and Luggage, is the fifth book in Terry Pratchett's classic fantasy Discworld series. Rincewind, the legendarily inept wizard, has returned after falling off the edge of the world. And this time, he’s brought the Luggage. But that’s not all… Once upon a time, there was an eighth son of an eighth son who was, of course, a wizard. As if that wasn’t complicated enough, said wizard then had seven sons. Terry Pratchett was a British author best known for his Discworld series, a long-running and highly influential series of comedic fantasy novels. Pratchett was born in 1948 and began his career as a journalist before turning to fiction writing in the 1980s.The Discworld series, which consists of over 40 novels and numerous related works, is set on a flat world that rests on the back of four elephants, which in turn stand on the back of a giant turtle that swims through space. The series is known for its wit, satire, and absurdist humor, as well as its complex and imaginative world-building.Pratchett's other notable works include the standalone novel "Good Omens," co-written with Neil Gaiman, and the Johnny Maxwell trilogy, a series of young adult novels. He was also known for his activism on issues such as animal welfare and Alzheimer's disease, which he was diagnosed with in 2007.Throughout his career, Pratchett received numerous awards and honors, including knighthood from the British government in 2009. He passed away in 2015 at the age of 66, but his work continues to be celebrated and beloved by fans of all ages.
