Daggerbound

Edmund, a scholar, leaves his temple carrying a relic, and is attacked by bandits on the road. A handsome stranger appears, cutting them down with blue steel daggers. He is the Dervish, an immortal warrior bound to a cursed sword, and now he is bound to Edmund.

Together, against their wishes, they set out for Archon's Glory to break the curse, with a cult that wants to collect magical swords on their trail, and bandits and a dragon on their way. A sequel to Swordheart, which can be read on its own.
