A Sorceress Comes to Call

Cordelia, fourteen, has grown up in a house without closed doors, under the control of her mother, Evangeline, a dangerous enchantress who regularly compels her into total obedience. When Evangeline moves them into the home of her suitor, Squire Samuel Chatham, his sister Hester senses that something terrible is coming.

A dark retelling of the Brothers Grimm's "The Goose Girl", told through Cordelia and Hester.
