The Witch's Heart

Angrboda is a witch of the giants, punished by Odin for refusing to tell what she knows. He has her burned three times and her heart torn out, and she escapes to a remote forest, where she is found by Loki.

Their love is unexpected, and it gives her three unusual children whom she tries to hide from Odin's sight. But as her power returns, she sees that the life she has made, and possibly the world itself, is in danger. A retelling of Norse myth from the point of view of one of its most overlooked women.
