About this book
Trouble from the ancient mountain library where the scholar-priest Cadderly lives has spread to a neighbouring forest, where the elves are being slaughtered and their ruling prince is in danger.
Cadderly and his companions travel to the elven forest of Shilmista to confront the evil wizards of Castle Trinity, which has been waging war there, and Cadderly must deal with his new role as a priest of Deneir and his jealousy of the elven prince. The second book of R. A. Salvatore's Cleric Quintet, set in the Forgotten Realms.
