Garion, who was raised as a farm boy, grows into his part in a prophecy and learns to control his sorcerous power, as the quest for the stolen Orb goes on. He travels with Belgarath and the wilful princess Ce'Nedra, who refuses to believe in sorcery, towards the tower of Ctuchik, where the evil god lies sleeping.
Belgarath must use all his strength, cunning and sorcery to face his most fearsome enemy there, and Garion's powers keep growing. The third book of David Eddings' Belgariad.
