She was born in Jerusalem in 1975, and grew up in Los Angeles.Bardugo's most notable works include the "Grisha" trilogy, which takes place in a fantastical world inspired by Russian folklore, and the "Six of Crows" duology, which follows a group of criminals as they attempt a daring heist in a world of magic and political intrigue.Bardugo's writing is known for its intricate world-building, complex characters, and exploration of themes such as power, identity, and the consequences of violence.
