Clytemnestra

Clytemnestra is a princess of Sparta, and she is a fighter who would rather ride and train with the soldiers than marry. Her family gives her to a king, and she builds a life for herself, until the marriage ends in grief and she is given in marriage again, to a man she hates.

She becomes queen of Mycenae, and watches as her husband Agamemnon sacrifices what she loves for his war. Costanza Casati's debut novel retells the myth from the point of view of the woman who, in the old story, murders him.
