Raymond E. Feist is an American author known for his works in the epic fantasy genre. He was born in Los Angeles in 1945.Feist's most notable works include the "Riftwar Saga," which takes place in a world called Midkemia and follows the adventures of a young orphan named Pug, and the "Empire Trilogy," which he co-wrote with Janny Wurts and takes place in the same world as the "Riftwar Saga."Feist's writing is known for its rich world-building, fast-paced storytelling, and exploration of themes such as war, politics, and the nature of heroism. He has won several awards for his writing, including the World Fantasy Award for Best Novel in 1991 for "The King's Buccaneer."In addition to his writing, Feist is also a game designer and has worked on several popular video games.
