Bram Stoker (1847-1912) was an Irish author best known for his Gothic horror novel, "Dracula." He was born in Dublin, Ireland, and worked as a civil servant before pursuing a career in writing."Dracula" was published in 1897 and has since become one of the most famous horror novels of all time. The novel tells the story of Count Dracula, a vampire from Transylvania who travels to England in search of fresh blood. The novel is known for its suspenseful plot, chilling atmosphere, and vivid characters.Stoker's other works include several other novels and short story collections, many of which also feature supernatural and horror elements. Some of his notable works include "The Jewel of Seven Stars," "The Lair of the White Worm," and "Dracula's Guest and Other Weird Stories."Stoker was also a theater manager and an actor, and he wrote several plays throughout his career. He was friends with many notable writers of his time, including Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Oscar Wilde.Although Stoker was not well-known during his lifetime, his legacy has endured, and "Dracula" continues to be adapted into films, television shows, and other forms of media. Stoker is widely considered to be one of the most important writers in the horror and Gothic fiction genres.
