Even if she's a witch.There's a certain level of cheese that you'll need to accept to enjoy the series and you'll find many plot holes if you look for them, but this series is all about fluff and fun. Paranormal romances aren't known for complex, carefully planned magic systems, but Harrison has created a system that is well thought out. Part of what makes this so enjoyable is that magic in this world requires work. Rachel isn't all-powerful or all knowing â she has to develop her skills as a witch.
